Coming from InviZible Pro
NetCage can’t be installed today. It has no store listing and no public download, so this page ends without an install step. It covers how the two apps differ and which pages here to read first.
How does InviZible Pro differ from NetCage?
InviZible Pro routes traffic through Tor, DNSCrypt and I2P, and its firewall is one part of that. NetCage routes nothing anywhere. A caged app’s connection ends on the phone, and every other app takes its normal path, so NetCage gives you no anonymity or encrypted DNS at all.
Android allows one VPN at a time. If InviZible Pro holds that slot on your phone, NetCage can’t hold it as well.
Choose InviZible Pro if you want Tor, encrypted DNS and I2P routing and the firewall is one part of that.
Choose NetCage if you do not want your traffic routed anywhere; caged connections end on this phone and everything else takes its normal path.
What should I read first?
NetCage imports nothing from InviZible Pro, so there’s no settings file to bring across. You’d choose your apps again.
- How it works: why no traffic leaves through NetCage.
- Caging apps: the switch and how to find an app quickly.
- Limitations: what NetCage won’t do for your other apps' traffic.
